Dream of a Nightmare

Dark days bring phantomlike nights;
Nights, full of pungent shadows Decaying corpses, memories.
Nights bring darker days
With a sun that burns but gives no warmth. A sun that burns so madly, Still loses its warmth; sucks All last sap from the last saplings And leaves a burnt up terrain A blood stained canvas. Dreams are forbidden. Dreams fear to dream even in dreams Where wishes are hidden. Only desires run a pantomime, Give birth to nightmares Inside large shadowy caverns.
Bloody dream can’t earn a dime. Time slips into oblivion,
Devilish laughter resounds in unison,
Of misplaced dimensions.
Spring so sweet!
Spring is swift, Glides past silently; Swifter than a snake, quieter than a snail. Summer!
Summer comes in wings of death, Burns down the traces of green, All that were born of a dream.
Blood oozes out, Oozes out, Oozes out, Can't fill up the cracks of the parched dreams. Cracks too many, blood too little; Only leaves a ghostly shadow
Pale, writhing; and a deafening scream. Death is eminent. But stubborn life lingers in decaying thoughts, In stubborn Memories. Numbness slithers into entity, I wade and writhe in endless debris.
Trembling hands pull curtain over a hollow theater,
Another act begins
Of my dream of a nightmare.
