Hello, my name is Binoy! I'm a Socio-economic research consultant, a Sociology student and a photographer by passion. I live in a small township, known by the name Serampore. I’m currently working at The Researcher West Bengal.
To be honest, I was never a photographer. I know very little about photographing, its subtle art, elegance and etc. But, as my profession requires extensive walking through villages, remote human settlements; most of the time I can witness the Lady Nature presenting herself with astounding beauties. Alas! I’m not a poet to immortalize them in rhymes, nor am I a painter to immortalize them on canvas. The easiest way for me is to capture them in photographs. I’m not a good photographer either, and I don’t use a professional camera. I use a simple Cannon PowerShot SX510HS. I am writing and posting in this blog to bring some of these little known beauties of rural Bengal to you, to share my joy with you. I wish I were a good photographer, then I would have captured the real beauty in its real luster. Binoy Majumder Photography is my humble effort to showcase my photographs and take you to the village paths, bend of canals; an effort for helping you to see the smiles of unknown people, their activities, and their simple lives in their little known communities. If someday, any of my photographs would inspire you to visit any of these places, it will be the greatest reward for me.
Oh! I also have a strong passion for the creativity and I sometime indulge myself in graphics designing, and also painting. And I am also learning new languages! I also write in a blog, about my observations as a sociology student. Please find some time to visit my blog.
In my free time, I enjoy reading on a wide range of subjects, listening to music, watching movies from around the world, cooking and experimenting with recipes from different regions, traveling, and experiencing new and exciting adventures.
